Kido Chanting Retreat
Kido means “energy path”.
Why do this?
“When we do chanting meditation correctly, perceiving the sound of our own voice and the voices all around us, our minds become clear… you and the universe have already become one, suffering disappears, true happiness appears.” Zen Master Seung Sahn

YMJJ Retreat
YMJJ stands for “Yong Maeng Jong Jin” a Korean phrase that means “to leap like a tiger while sitting”. This is a silent retreat. The daily schedule includes alternating periods of seated and walking meditation, work and rest periods, and vegetarian meals (lunch and dinner) eaten in traditional temple style. Private interviews are also offered daily with the Zen Master. A YMJJ is a special opportunity to investigate your life closely and “wake up” to the world around you. This experience can bring about a clearer, more compassionate direction and more harmonious relationship with the activities and people in your life.
